It is necessary to
adopt the bill (Reg. No.0206) to implement domestic state procedure to make the
protocol effective. The protocol comes into effect in Ukraine the first day of
the month after the date when the Parties informed each other via diplomatic
channels on fulfillment of the procedures required for the document to come
into effect.
Committee Chair Borys Tarasiuk emphasized that the protocol will allow Ukraine to participate in the work of agencies and programs of the European Community within its competence and in cases permitted by law.
The committee members also informed that under the protocol, Ukraine has the right to participate in all current and future programs of the Community open for its participation under the regulations of these programs.
The protocol can be used temporarily since the moment of signing if it is concluded later.
